Nearly every cartoonist I know created something to honor the four Charlie Hebdo cartoonist who were slain along with their colleagues. So many have shown their support in fact that some in France have complained about our outpouring, asking where all our support and care was before. Honestly, I had never heard of Charlie Hebdo before this tragedy, but now that I have - and under such terrible circumstances - my life has certainly been changed. I admire those who stand up for what they believe in, whatever the cause. In this case, I can think of few greater purposes than defending the freedom of expression like these great men did so fearlessly, and in the end with their lives. God bless them. I, for one, am thankful for the stand they took and the world is a better place thanks to those at Charlie Hebdo. The pen is and always will be, after all, far more powerful than the sword or any other weapon of violence the terrorists will ever be able to wield.
