Having been a freshman state legislator once, I remember what it was like not knowing my way around inside the state capitol building. From that perspective, I feel the pain of all the "newbies" who started this last week. Thinking back, working in the capitol is really sort of like living in a big house with a large dysfunctional family... and not a whole lot of restrooms come to think of it. Anyway, hopefully these new guys, with the help of seasoned elder-family member, er, I mean politician, Senator Ray Scott, will figure out the budget surplus situation now that they've happened upon the treasurer's office. What a good and honorable man choosing not to go to the Caribbean with all that cash lying around the office, huh? Until next week...
